How to get to Rotorua?

By airplane:

- Via Rotorua International Airport.

- All flights to Rotorua airport are operated by Air New Zealand.

- There are flights from Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

1. -From Auckland about 40 min.
   

2. -In case you would like to fly from Auckland, you will need to change from International flights to Domestic flights. This link provides how to get to the Domestic flights from International flights.
   

By bus:

- There is a regular bus service from Auckland to Rotorua provided by InterCity Coachlines.

- Busses depart multiple times daily from Sky City Coach Terminal, Auckland City Center.

- Busses take between three and 3.5 hours and 4.5 hours.

- Several busses and shuttles exist to get from Auckland International Airport to the city center.

By self transport:

- Many rental car companies have offices at Auckland International Airport (see this link!)

- Drive takes approximately 3 hours to Rotorua.
